Eden Park Rangers Football Club
Eden Park Rangers Football Club was formed in 1982 and has grown into one of the most respected amatuer football clubs in the Orpington & Bromley District Sunday Football League. Our existence is down to hard work and dedicated club members who through the years have invested time and money to ensure that the club not only survives but thrives. On the playing side we have approximately 70 players registered at the club and hopefully by the beginning of the new 2009/10 season this figure will have reached 120 and will no doubt be testament to our individual team managers' ability to continually identify and sign good quality local footballers. Administratively, the club's management committee have shown strong leadership and a determination to steer the club in the right direction, and with the help of local businesses the club have attracted sponsorship and inward financial investment which has helped considerably with annual club income and expenditure. Recently there have been some new faces brought into the club, namely Mr JP Thangavalu who is director of the award winning Educational Excellence college based in Croydon, and Mr Danny Wakeling, former Chief of AFC Sydenham who has joined the club specifically to run our two new Saturday football squads. Eden Park Rangers FC play all their home matches at the Langley Park Sports & Social Club in Beckenham, Kent, a privately owned members club which over the past three years in particular owner Matt Dickens has invested heavily on refurbishing and upgrading much of the premises including: new showering facilities, changing room facilities, outside garden facilities, club bar and restaurant facilities and much much more. Rather like the US and UK, Eden Park Rangers FC and Langley Park Sports & Social Club have a special relationship which over the years has developed into an inextricable link bringing together football, education and the community. And now, with the partnership's new five year vision for development ready for depolyment, it is hoped that the future brings considerable success both on and off the field.
