Player Registrations and Photo ID's
The management committee would like to remind all players that haven't yet registered for next season to do so as soon as possible. It is the individual team managers' responsibility to ensure that their respective team squads have registered and had their two individual photos taken and sent together with the official OBDSFL registration form to club secretary Cris Playle immediately if they wish to play next season. All players have until the end of this month to register otherwise they will not be eligible to play under the terms and conditions set by the OBDSFL. PLEASE GO TO OUR DOWNLOADS PAGE NOW AND DOWNLOAD A PLAYER REGISTRATION FORM IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONE SO. PLEASE COMPLETE ALL THE RELEVANT SECTIONS CAREFULLY AND ATTACH TWO PASSPORT SIZE PHOTOGRAPHS TO THE FORM. YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO WRITE YOUR NAME IN BLOCK CAPITALS CLEARLY ON THE BACK OF ONE OF THE PHOTOS AND RETURN THE FORM TO YOUR RESPECTIVE MANAGER.
The leagues' Annual General Meeting will take place this Monday 7th July 2008 and it was hoped that our club would be in a position to present our clubs' registered players for the new 2008/09 season together with all players' photos as requested by the league at the end of last season. Unfortunately, the response so far from players registered to Eden Park Rangers FC is below 50% which is dreadful to say the least. Despite many reminders and reiteration of requests for players to complete registration forms and provide two passport size photographs, complacency has once again reared its ugly head. At our own end of season AGM in June managers reassured the committee that player registrations would be dealt with as a matter of priority. Only the 1st team squad have responded with any kind of respect and assurance which in itself is commendable. However, this is a club with three squads and if we want the league to take us seriously next season we have to prove that not only do we have our own house in order but we will endeavour as a club to adhere to all the requirements set out in the league's 'rule book.' Each squad has to register just 13 players - that's 39 out of the 90 which were registered last season. Is this such a difficult task? Let us not be complacent.
